Holy Cow!!!

Last weekend I was doing my usual grocery shopping & I saw milk was on sale. I went with that one, and thought sweetness, I scored a deal.  THAT one turned out to be the Fat Free Grass Point Milk.  Holy Cow!!! This is the best tasting milk I've ever had.  Sooo good that I just felt the need to tell everyone about it. After some research, I found out that it tastes so darn good because the milk comes from cows that are free of antibiotics, are kept on a all natural grass fed diet, & lead pretty happy lives.  So basically that means....happy cow = awesome milk.  www.grasspointfarms.com

so, first things first, i finally created a facebook page to keep track of updates, goings-on, fun links, etc. you should join!

and second....a night or so ago, as i was perusing etsy, i joined a virtual labs session waaay too late, but ended up in a nice conversation with a few other etsy sellers. one of them had the lovliest jewelry. i've been really into knots recently and absolutely loved this love knot ring by meganlimjewelry. it's so intricate and i love how each one is always a little different.



megan also has a nice selection of hair accessories and other statement rings as well. and, megan herself is such a sweet person!

New Brooches

Here's a sneak peek of a few new brooches I've been working on!  Shown are 2 separate pieces, but I think they look stunning worn together.

The top brooch was made for Mimi and Tim Campaigne's wedding in Lake Charles, Louisiana. For the wedding, Mimi wore the brooch at her waist attached to a satin ribbon. Mimi tells me this winter she plans on wearing it on her wool coat. When the temperature plummets, a glimpse of her wedding brooch on her wool coat will surely warm her spirits with memories of her wedding day!

Chicago Marathon

Today my boyfriend, Rich and I ventured out to the streets of Chicago to support the Chicago Marathon runners.  What an amazingly powerful experience! We met our friends early hoping to see the first man and woman to cross the finish line.  Our hopes were met and so much more :)  We saw runners' spirits overcome when their bodies were saying NO...we saw people from all over the world come together...we saw wheelchair marathoners race their hearts out, but most of all we saw a GREAT display in humanity.
